Or, alternately, use the Test Log to simulate almost every possible crash log issue at once.

โš ๏ธ NOTE: Not all crash issues can be detected with this tool. This automated analysis follows a formulaic approach and may miss subtleties that human reviewers can catch. If this analyzer is less-helpful towards a particular series of related crash logs, please see bottom of page for a list of communities in which to request a human analysis.

Instructions:

  1. ๐Ÿšซ Avoid Mid-Game Loading: If you're crashing after reloading a save midgame (or after dying), try completely quitting Skyrim and relaunching to see if the crash repeats - this clears memory issues and script conflicts that cause some crashes. Best practice: Only load one save file per launching of Skyrim. To prevent auto-reloading after dying (and avoid minutes of reloading), consider using an alternate death mod such as Shades of Mortality or Soul Resurrection, both known for broad compatibility. See the "๐Ÿค– Best Practices" section of your analysis for more general stability guidelines.
  2. ๐Ÿ”Ž Usage Recommendation: Where possible, test and compare results from multiple related crash logs, as some crash logs may contain insightful indicators that others do not, and consistent results across multiple logs provide higher diagnostic confidence. Be sure to relaunch Skyrim completely between each test (see above).
